Seoul Day 10- Myeong Dong!

Myeongdong Station (Seoul subway line 4), exit 5, 6, 7, or 8.
Euljiro Il-ga Station (Seoul subway line 2), exit 5

To get to SPAO:
take the subway and get off at Myeongdong Station Line 4 Exit 6.
Take the stairs and head straight towards Nature Republic (Uniqlo is just opposite of Nature Republic- a white architecture).
Turn left after Nature Republic and SPAO is just along the street.

Earlier I mentioned Isaac Toast when describing the direction to SKKU and Maple Dorm :)

Tada!!! a very very nice bread toast with egg, ham, potato (hashbrown), salad etc

During the exchange, the store usually has 3-5 students at a moment queuing up for it before class and even during rainy days. Beside it is a Pharmacy! I got my indigestion pill from the pharmacy.

Kong's riceball for lunch! just beside the school gate! omg im craving for it now.....................

usually after lunch near school, we will head back to Dorm to put our things and head out together! Or sometimes, when its a little urgent, we will just head out after lunch! (only for days without korean class... so as you see if you take that korean class ah you only have 5days in a week to jalanjalan)

MYEONG TO THE DONG!

NOTE: once exiting from the gantry in the station, you will find yourself in Myeong Dong's underground shopping! its pretty decent! you will find a few KPOP shops! the albums are pretty cheap and updated in those stores! They sell a lot of the KPOP merchandise like cloth banner, lightsticks, nametag, bookmarks, card holder, sticker, badge, keychain, notebooks, poster, tumbler, coaster, pencil cases, calendar, pillow casing, files etc

SPAO!!!!!

They have other stores around Seoul/Korea too! so its not just available in MyeongDong heh e.g. one store in Seong Shin Womans Univ Station!

Specifically took a photo with this cos... MY HANDSOME BOY DONG TO THE HAE!!

Spot that measuring tape. lol its good to bring along one if you wanna get clothes for your family/relatives/friends overseas! In fact my exchange friends have been asking me for help on that!

EverySing! Above Spao! Spao in Myeong Dong has like 3 floors high? then EverySing is just on the 4th floor. Little things only leh relatively to what I expect the store to sell....

after that we went around to shop! Myeong Dong is really big! But for people who are street smart like me... You can easily understand the whole Myeong Dong directions and streets...

M Plaza, and the Myeong Dong Gyoza is just nearby! we even went to the jimdak chicken glass noodle and Kang Ho Dong BBQ store in Myeong Dong another day. They are all nearby in one street.

we had Gyoja for dinner!

Myeong Dong hauls/loots! HAHAH only a small part of the facial haul in Seoul!

I bought a few makeup products and foot peeling masks from Nature Republic. Will do a review soon! its pretty good!

What I observed was:

1. there are people usually China woman giving out free sample (one facial masks or one box of cotton wool) standing outside their store. They only give it to you if you enter their store. So it means, want their sample? Enter the store!

2. A lot of similar shops in Myeong Dong! For instance you will see 3 different Etude House-s, 3 different Innisfree, etc very repetitive.

3. When you buy their products, especially for Etude House, they give you samples according to what you buy/how much you spent.

4. BUT some other stores, or rather for all, if you want to get more samples, aegyo with them la or act familiar with them

5. Store assistants are mostly Chinese who know how to speak Korean. This is to assist Chinese tourists.

6. Samples are not as much as mentioned on blogs =.= I was expecting a decent amount... But in fact, i can get even more and better samples in Hyehwa/outside Myeong Dong than in Myeong Dong itself...

7. Myeong Dong is over-rated.

8. BUT myeong dong does sell clothing too! And I bought quite a few decent, cheap (most expensive one 19,000won excluding a satin formal wear for guys in Spao la thats 39,900won) clothes!

For siblings! Yoona and Taemin! costs around 8,000won - 10,000won each

  2. The underground mall is at the same level as the gantries to Myeong Dong Subway (dont need to tap into the subway station though). Nope! Dont need ticket to get into the mall
