On the August 23rd, the family went to Orchard Central for a Korean Cuisine feasting session at night! It was awesome hahahha Been craving for korean food since I came back and had the first one in sg at Bibigo (it was really meh~) no idea why there are so many queuing up for it... its kinda overrated...
Sarang on the other hand was pleasantly nice!! Well, I snapped a voucher on groupon.sg so the whole deal was like 40bucks for 80dollars worth of dishes!
By the way, Sarang means Love in Korean if you dont know... And Sarang is romanization. Its actual hangul is... 사랑 (damn i had to use google translate's virtual keyboard to type cos i cant type it via my own!)
- For people who drive, there are parking lots at Orchard Central itself (backdoor) away from Centrepoint. The parking lots start from level 5 if not level 7. And it has an overview of the parking spaces once you spiral up the road till level 5 (i think). If really no space, try its neighbour! 313@Somerset's car park! hahaha
- For people who takes the public transport like MRT, alight at Somerset station and exit via 313 and walk towards linkway to Orchard Central (linkway is outside and currently there are constructions going on in that area)
Sarang is located at the 7th floor of Orchard Central. It has outdoor and indoor. No worries about the rainy day cos its both sheltered. Outdoor is pretty cool too! You might want to call in for reservation otherwise you might have to wait outside for your turn to be seated.
We ordered the Bibimbap, Bulgogi, Army Stew (햄 두부찌개) , and a kimchi pancake (파전)
wanted to ordered more things like jajangmyun, ginseng chicken, tteok but I think better dont order too much la lol
Bibimbap!
Mix it yourself! the rice is really nice! (commented by family who have not tried authentic korean rice before :) )
The bulgogi!
Mixing!
Add in favoured amount of gochujang (I didnt add all of it cos Im afraid it'll get too spicy for them)
THE ARMY STEW!!
like no ham one leh =.= But the soup is nice!
THE PANCAKE!
MEH ONLY... actually I dont really like eating kimchi pancakes in Korea too hahaha I prefer seafood pancake or potato one! better!
the outdoor!
The entrance!
No longer have that nice entrance you see on backdated blogs
TAUHUEYS!!
For the price of Sarang is pretty pricey especially the Army Stew, the food is pretty not bad! I would say, Ill return if Ive got my salary, or during special occasions or when I find some good deals from groupon!
