oh hi Im back after nearly a month... Been busy with watching Hallyu drama, searching for jobs, and planning for DM and SUJ Exchange!
Just wrote my letter to Ikeda Sensei! Both my victories for last year and past months and my resolutions from now on. Its refreshing to think back! and full of conviction and determination while planning ahead! Its March already! So fast!
Anyway, Ill be slowly (im slow enough already =.=) sending my resume to the private firms as I have not been doing so... Only sending to banks and government sector which take super long time to get back. Gotta act fast! Thankful for my friends and seniors in faith around and of cos to have sensei guidance to guide me along when Im all confused, low morale, low life condition, lost etc... Thank you~
Did I mention that I won hotel voucher in Seoul Myeong Dong in Feb/Jan???? Yah... only hotel voucher. Still contemplating if I should fly over this spring! But could only bring either 1 other or 3 other. Need to check the room occupancy. If Im going, it will most probably be after my convocation or end March? I havent book air tickets yet!!!! Just a pretty short trip in Seoul and maybe somewhere outside Seoul that I can travel to via the subway la :)
In late Feb, I received one letter from SIM! Make a guess? Its commendation letter! Received UOL Top Student Award- Bronze for my course. Not sure if that means Im the top 3? No idea how many recipient per award. And, the SIM Special Recognition Award! #justsayin to keep track of things! I only write online diary which is this... so yah... not flaunting or what. Just wanna write down for memories sake :) So how do I feel after receiving? Both happy for the money and upset cos this makes me look even cui-er that I STILL COULDNT FIND A JOB :( Just like the upset me is not sad enough, my sister asked me to sign a declaration form that Im an unemployed for University application :(((( double kill (im fine now anyway still fighting strong! other people are challenging even tougher things than me! I ought to be strong and courageous!)
And yesterday, we had our Soka University of Japan Exchange meeting! The meeting ran rather smoothly. except a few obvious sound system down, but luckily its only for a few seconds. Thankful for the team I worked with, very very very meticulous, always had contingency plans, kept tight communications via callings and meeting up to settle, for my case, culture performance. Thankful to have the 2 chiefs who are guiding us along well, such that we are able to fully run the programme yesterday ourselves. Thankful for the support given by the fellow trailblazers who helped to reach out, contact members, design and make the souvenirs, discuss and decide the dinner reps. Thankful for my culture performers who memorised the japanese song lyrics (which are said to be confusing even to choir trained singers!) within 2 practices and touched the audiences by the brightest and beautiful smiles ever!
끝.

Seoul Day 24- Presentation, Myeong Dong and Hanbok
My team is the last for presentation for the module Strategic Management in SKKU. We presented on the Starbucks while my roomie did her research on Amore Pacific. The source given/sold to us are pretty useful!
Aside the presentation, we have exams too! Attendance is counted into the grades too! no less than 3 absent!
Photo was taken by one of my team mates' friend!
Photo taken by this module's student. And tada! Thats our lecturer! Mr Tohyun Kim!
After class, we went to venture around the old school compound as the last time we were there to snap photos was during the orientation! And there were a lot of students then!
OOTD: Jeans from Forever 21 (Myeong dong branch)
Green shirt and white outer layer from Ehwa fashion streets
map of the old compound!
Myeong Dong jjimdak chicken! hahahah along the streets between Innisfree and M Plaza entrance!
before lunch, we actually went to the M Plaza to book our hanbok trying slot! It has to be booked on the same day, on the spot! I think 30mins for 4 people.
After lunch, there was still some time, so we went to shop around! Ended up we were slightly late! thanks to yihui who went to the M Plaza before us otherwise our slots might have been cancelled!
and after, we were finding for this icecream place! Heard from yihui that this is pretty famous! Its somewhere round the corner of Olive Young store at Myeong Dong, a pretty big outlet.
this shoes damn cool! roll up to become a ball!
dinner at myeong dong
they do provide those cloth to prevent splatting sauces

[10 simple tips] How to get decent grades?
This post is by no means showing off how good i am... in fact im not... However, I would like to share with all on how to get better grades or decent grades in UOL program cos Ive been asked by friends many many times...
1. Ask questions!
when in doubt just raise the question! if you are shy or afraid of embarrassment (which you shouldnt feel cos asking questions benefit all and there are no stupid questions UNLESS the teacher has already make it clear that it has to be that way and you are just being anal) just ask during the breaks or after class or even make a consultation!
Asking question is good cos for the whole curriculum, only lectures! no tutorials! and thats it! you paid for it, you know? might as well fully utilise right!
Moreover, you think just consult friends will do? ahem, you never know if they are backstabbers (i dont suspect my friends la but usually Ill ask them and teachers) or you never know if they really know the content! might as well ask the professional right?
But what if the lecturer does not entertain questions like... Manfred,
or the lecturer is so snobbish that the way he/she answers my questions like "Im a stupid leh" like... Seet
or the lecturer seems so fierce in class Im afraid to ask questions!! like... IBM (he's nice btw!)
Dont care them! just ask for the sake of your money and grades!! be thick-skinned!
Been there, done that! For manfred however, I didnt really ask him much cos he's really bochup kind.
Also, for a certain concept that you are not sure, like Econs, you are actually google it or youtube! Ive tried youtube-ing and learnt/revised quite a few concepts!
2. Study at places and timing that you study the best
For instances, I found out the fact that I couldnt study in groups even in neighbourhood library cos too much distraction. So usually, Ill study alone at home (my bro's study room which he didnt fully utilise... end up the sisters took up his space HAHHA) or study with my friends at Bugis Library (super quiet)
Studying with MP3 to some maybe good but I discourage that... cos you are already multitasking! it seems like you can read better or be more awake with that but when it comes to absorbing the text or information it fails! Some says listening to classical music when studying is good... Ive tried that... some point in time, it does seem good but... its always making me feel sleepy!! So now, no more nonsense! Ill stick to the nature music! i.e. no earpiece, no radio just the sound of the rain drops, the breeze, the leaves outside my house!
3. Do your work consistently and dont refer to model answer yet!
Important! though I do procrastinate as well... heh be consistent with your work and then revise it through when nearing the prelims i.e. before March
Think and think through the questions before raising the white flag and check the model answers!
For econs, usually Ill think and think even on bus, I will think through the question again and again for various ways of solving and decipher what the examiner really wants for that question!
4. Use colour pens or post-its or mind maps
For me, I prefer to work with colours! Especially for memorising modules, I find mindmaps good in rounding up what the chapters are about!
5. Be organised
Maybe its me... but i really dont like to study on a table full of mess (with notes and stationeries lying all around) I prefer to stack my notes according and placed it at one side.
6. No phones!
switch it off. leave it at another room or in your bag! No one will contact you when you are busying with your studies!
7. Do pyps!
Download and do them! If you start revision or consistent work early or does not procrastinate, i suppose you should have time to attempt 10years worth of PYP for zone A and B! i.e. 20 papers! woah! For me, I dont really have time to attempt all 10years... a bit too much haha so at most I did was 7years? or 5years? kinda average!
Also, do refer to VLE for any questions or videos tips!! Do go through the subject guides!! They are delivered for a reason! Examiners look for whatever that it being taught in Subject Guides!
Textbooks however, its really up to you! personally I have no time to juggle between outside activities and doing Subject guides, 10years of pyps, go through the notes, doing the past year prelims... For me, I didnt spend on getting textbooks! its quite pricey... I heard from my friend saying for some modules, textbooks are necessary like pbf... not sure if she's right... no textbooks can also get fch!
8. Appropriate amount of snacks
Dont snack too much! firstly, your weight. second, its unhealthy. next, you are studying while sitting down and if you eat way too much can u imagine your belly?? lastly, it distracts!
9. take breaks!
A well deserved 5 mins to 10mins break i.e. toilet break, phone break, walk around, eyes to rest after every 45mins-1hour worth of studying! But, during revision such as when you are timing yourself for exams papers, complete them before you take a break!
10. Healthy diet and balanced lifestyle
Exercise! otherwise you may feel tired easily! have some fish to improve memory! and all those proteins, vitamins, calcium and goodness you need when you study/sit for exams!
Also, the brain has to rest and it will recap and retain things you are memorised or learnt in the day!

Chunks and Pieces
Prelims finally over! In just mere 4 days, which is to mean that 1 paper per day. Very xiong. Others better, theirs is spanned across few weeks, at least they have got more time to prepare and do good for each paper :( while I wasnt given the chance, so I had to study every single day to late and early in the morning before the paper starts. Wasnt very prepared for it, Ill say. But, as always, prelims serve to kick off our entire revision. at least, the chapters and stuffs for each modules are stucked in our heads for now la. and yes, its definitely a wake up call. Last paper was yesterday... and so, Im taking a short break today and perhaps throughout the weekends. and then starting to run the engine coming monday., heh. prelims isnt end of everything.
And, I dont wanna get bad grades for my papers. goal: at least 3 As. Do you think its possible? heh, lets see my prelims. I swear im not going to let it affect me, whether the results are good or bad.
For this prelims, I found back my inital motivation when I was in my first year. to provide my answer the same as the answer outline. And really, I just have to be alert with the words (my examiners just love to play with words, and yes, EVERYONE OF THEM), and use my brain to think and think deeply.
During this one month break, Im gonna study hard, whilst not neglecting my social life :) yes, Im still gonna go out with friends, go out for gakkai activities. But before all those, I must be consistent in my revision. This is it. I cant fail me.
Missing Chingay badly and fortunately, tmr will be the C DAY! CELEBRATION DAY AHHAHA. Cant wait for it :) Just realised that Ive been missing in action for like a month? hahah so have decided to post an entry to keep this alive.
On a side note, same as last year, exactly before exams, IM HOPING TO GET A MICROWAVE OVEN. HAHA coolios. So, im gonna set the same expectations again. Get good grades i.e. 3 first class and Ill get myself the fricking microwave and bake at home! TEEHEE

GOSH! tempting! alluring! salivating! HAHHA
chants* after exam after exam*
Been surfing the net since yesterday till today. with sleeping time interval of course. BLOGSHOPPING!OMG I SWEAR BLOGSHOPS ARE SUPER SINNED. WASTE MONEY ONLY SERIOUSLY! And, im so damn tempted to purchase the clothes. ughhh money money money where else does money come from? YOUR BOSS. And so, Im gonna study and work! wish me luck wont you? :/
And oh, popular blogshops are crazy. I mean those buyers! for less than an hour, the clothes are swept empty! sold out super fast!!! cry die me. Always indecisive. forever indecisive! forever alone! madness.
Lastly, 2 more photos of myself HAHA
End with this picture which I liked it a lot...

Because, giving up is easy, the strong does not opt for an easy route.
Procrastination is a bitch.
A phenomenon that almost everyone faces.
Barely a month into 2012, challenges popped up simultaneously. And, I kind of broke down yesterday. Crying does not solve the problem anyway. So, we have to take concrete actions precisely that! No point sitting still, or emotionally affected or talk talk talk, and not do! This is cliche but thats the truth. And no, truth does not hurt. It does not hurt, only if you have been through tougher season than this. We say when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. But how many people truly understand what this phrase means? It takes infinite period for a person to be wise and a wise to understand the profound/in depth meaning of the phrases. Guidances may seem simple, sometimes short. But thats only the superficial level. you have to go in deeper, feel for it, apply it and do it.
Things are simple initially, but cause we are humans with complex brain nerves, cells and other functions that make things... complicated and not so simple.
Though we are now all aware of the challenges Chingay posed to us, we cant deny that Chingay is really an avenue for us to enjoy, a short escapade away from our other problems. And, Im happy that I have not make the wrong move and friends are around to encourage me take up the role as a trainer. It is indeed a different perspective, and in fact, a better stepping stone to touch the obstacles. I have joined NDP, YOG, CHINGAY as participants, but none of these past events invoked a huge impact on me i.e. less degree challenges. In conclusion then was that, I didnt really truthfully gained much from them. But of course, good fortune kindly accumulates little by little as I go for the trainings and overcoming small little challenges. NOW, as a trainer, I am able to see even bigger challenges, and with my studies, other gakkai activities, friends, family, outside commitments on the other few hands. Its tough to juggle all. All in all, be happy to have challenges, because its only when humans are faced with bigger issue that we start to expand our life-force and have greater growth. For example, Singapore then and now. The growth is clearly evident. From a fishing village till now. And challenges will not stop here for us. It will only gets greater, bigger and then much bigger. It requires a humongous determination to consistently reminding ourselves to not give up. Because, giving up is easy, the strong does not opt for an easy route.
Will go for a half year mugging and chionging period. See you in June :)

What peak period is it now. My pocket's gonna burn a big big hole. Friends 21st birthdays! to be happy or sad. hahaha. anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yes, I know Im damn slow. This year gonna be an exciting year! After birthday parties and more celebrations, there comes the examination then internship and vacation plans. Followed by the anxious results released, then the maddening eCr session when many cursed and swore. Guess, university's schedule is much more preferred than the JC and Secondary school schedules. Perhaps, I those routined schedules ever since Primary school, that would be around... 12 years of routined timetable? so, coming 1.5 more years would be the flexible uni life schedule I get to enjoy till I graduate and finally got a seat in any industry. Aiming to work in the MNCs or stats board, then pursue my Masters at Japan, then settle down in the MOE sector as an Econs teacher :) That shall be it! Econs is really fun :) So cuteeee!!!
Got to apply for interns and plan for my 21st real soon!! cant wait for them! hhahahhahha am I mad or what?

Attitude Problem
A lot of things happened and I totally have to no idea of where to begin with. So, I wrote this random 'opening' to my preceding entry. hmm, start with Chingay shall we?
Just felt that we could have done better. I should have controlled my temper, to embrace, not just to tolerate. Cos' there's limit to a person's tolerance, but its unlimited to embrace. And before today, or rather before that particular training, i was still tolerating. Perhaps, thats why I blew up that day. Problems are that the central command are not giving the trainers enough time to coach/update new changes as and when. Perhaps, the communication part could have done better via good liasing with block in charge. Then again, 8 to 12 groups with only 2 Block ICs is not enough. How do we expect them to run to and fro umpteen times for say 90m at least? They arent track runners yea. So I suggested in a sarcastic plus angsty manner, "perhaps the trainers should just use handphones during training to communication with the block in charge." So block ICs wouldnt have to run so much and, when there are new/LAST MINUTE changes, we can be notified immediately via sms. Maybe this method is a little absurd i.e. not the usual way, but at least this method ensures everyone knowing the changes quick. And i guess, rather obvious, my suggestion wasnt taken into consideration cos' people there, then, thought im just spitting angsty comments. And what was remembered, again I guess, is my hot temper. lol great? This isnt the end to it, problem doesnt just lie with the top management crisis, but also amongst the trainers. and surprisingly, it wasnt the problem with the participants but the trainers and above. what a joke. With trainers i wrote, just meant trainer. ONE. my partner. I would really hope that what I heard was just a hearsay/heard wrongly/interpret wrongly. The info that I got was, "he said, 'you always no voice one leh'." This means, he's always doing the double work; admin and training. Simply said, I AM DOING NOTHING. applause please. who was the one that did the training in PA. who was the one who tried to shout during group training at f1 pit. I was the one who needed all help. clearly, we could have swapped roles, i suggested for that a few times, but he rejected. Now what? Im doing nothing? Right, maybe I shouldnt have exerted so much. Look, I dont expect him/them to appreciate my efforts, but please dont discredit my efforts. Seriously... Im dreading.
Studies, fine with i feel that I could do better than just being fine. FCH!
For the past week, Ive been falling sick even till now. Super upset! Guess what? I have no voice :) great way to end the year yes? :(
Tried baking cupcakes for the first time, and was a success :) good commentaries by friends and neighbours, despite it looking plain. great! and for the first time, i didnt like 30 plus cupcakes at one go. Didnt get to try full cupcakes, just a few bites here and there and ample to make me fall ill :P
writing blog entry is such a chore..

Day 26- What kind of person attracts you
In a good or bad way?
In a bad way:
By wearing eye-catching atttire like lime green/red i dont know. By... digging your nose, scratching your butt lol I guess those actions will irl people off right? By not wearing your clothes properly? By wearing chest-droppy top or butt-cellulite-showing shorts. Ill just get disgusted and turned off. But, I suppose if ladies were to wear those, the guys will prolly be enjoying much. right guys? And sums in all, uncivilised person in the public attracts my attention. only. yes.
In a good way:
Girls: err..... yes, girls attracts my attention. To put it specifically, pretty girls and girls who are fashionably dressed. CANT TAKE MY EYES OFF THEM. Sorry, but Im straight. as straight as a ruler?
Guys: Cute and handsome guys. and extraordinary man. LOL c'mon la, the first impression counts right? and who doesnt like cutie pies? All in all, just dont have to be toooooo cmi should be fine.

Yours truly seriously detest people who always wait. Not saying people who wait on us. (If you get what I mean, People who wait on us, are waiter/sales assistants. its English.) waiting for the sky to fall down really. Cant stand them. Especially those who claim that they are waiting for others to take action when they are NOT DOING IT! Isnt that kinda absurd? I supposed, just type on either email or message us wont take up most of your time right?
And yes, when it comes to planning a meeting/outing those who take action is the one being labelled as the organiser. funny so. Hence, the follow up actions like coming up with an ideal date and time is... brain draining. Imagine you had to coordinate all the timings and the preferences and venue of all people involved! Person A wants this and is available during these days. However, person B wants the other. Look, this is just a short and simple comparison/analyse between 2 persons ONLY. In the actual fact, we sometimes had to plan an outing/meeting for a group of say... 5-20? or even more? Facebooking events are good. But, it wont work to its fullest if the people aint active in it. Hard uh? I guess, thats the reason why many detest being the one who plan/initiates/take action.
Aside that, should I sign up for Summer Programme next year? That would mean... going to London for 3weeks. nearly 1 month. Yes, no? This is definitely a good chance for me to get exposed to overseas stuffs, and get independent!
Think, Im gonna stop his tuition. 2weeks later. hmm

Day 20- How important you think Education is
VERY.
Education starts from foetus teaching to childcare education, preschool, primary, secondary, higher secondary, tertiary to society education. Education is everywhere and it is somehow a complementary with our surroundings. Education moulds the child. Especially, the character, moral teaching. Therefore, I think there should be teachers specialising in educating CME (Civics Moral Education) and CME is a must conduct lesson in School instead of asking the form teacher/civics tutor to 'teach' that. They cant. Everyone has their own forte and they are doing it already! i.e. a Math teacher is a form teacher of a certain class. And usuallly, in this case, for teachers who are super nice and empathetic to their students, they will use the CME class to conduct their subject lessons during critical periods like Olevels, Alevels or PSLE. (Unless their form teacher doesnt teach them the generic subject la) So yea, Moral and Academics education are equally important but I do think a person with high EQ and AQ survives longer than people with only high IQ, cos they only know how to nicely beat around the bush via extraordinary IQ.
Whatever it is. This post came in good time today! cos... its TEACHERS' DAY TODAY!
(Im damn pissed off now. Thanks to blogger and my fricking auto restart laptop. my orignal posts from here on is LOST!)
Im gonna write vaguely now on. Had written a testimonial like to all the teachers but laptop shuts it off. so.. here it goes... Starting from Primary School till now:

HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!
I think teachers who genuinely want to improve their students are angels! Really, from the deepest of my heart, I do respect them a lot. Thats why, when I did something that I wouldnt think I will do, I feel guilty even until now that I shouldnt have did that. And... you will really feel your teachers if you are one. As mentioned always, Im in the educational sector right now since 1+ years ago? Trust your teachers I can guarantee majority of them treat you students like their child and want you guys/girls to hit the top sector in life i.e. be a good person contributing back to the society. (And... moral education comes into place! haha right??) The adverts produced by MOE seemingly trying to promote teacher as a career. Yes, it is. But, its not glorifying the life of a teacher I must say. Do you not agree that there are such teachers?(Im damn pissed off now. Thanks to blogger and my fricking auto restart laptop. my orignal posts from here on is LOST!)
Im gonna write vaguely now on. Had written a testimonial like to all the teachers but laptop shuts it off. so.. here it goes... Starting from Primary School till now:
Ms Teo, my 3 years form teacher. The good 3 years dont come by easy, the students had to fight for it. She's really a very nice teacher. And, thanks to her my English improved by abit. At least I got a clearer idea of the tenses concept. And thanks for letting me type on a Computer's keyboard when my Invention idea got accepted for the preliminary round! (Yes, Im creative! okay!) hahah remembered how envy I was when Miss Teo typed. Its so fast! And I thought she had a magical hands and how I wished I could type that fast without looking at the keyboard. HAHHA to think. Now, I COULD DO THIS AS WELL! (Trying to type without looking. ahhahahahhah)
Ms Ong, short, PMS, math teacher. She got me being competitive in Math.
Chen Lao Shi who encouraged us to purchase the then Dou Hao primary chinese newspapers to improve my Chinese. Yes, my chinese sucked.
Mr Bala, for coaching us Math. He's really good and I could really adapt to (new) teachers despite that heavy Indian plus Moustache accent. hehe It wouldnt have been easy on him as well as Ms Agnes Ho, physics teacher, who are both teachers I usually bombard questions with... Thanks for their patience with me. And those subjects Ive improved drastically and high life passion still in it!
Ms Ang, Ms Literature(Ive forgotten her name :/), Ms Dawn Chin, Ms Cho. Thanks for being so never dying determination in rescuing my English! Never easy too especially on language subjects. Thanks to Miss Literature that I loved Literature, and even wanted to opt for Lit during Sec3 streaming cos I got an A grade in it despite my lousy English. hah the irony.
Thanks to my dance teacher in charge plus Chinese teacher! Mdm Yick! Thanks for going that extra-mile in taking care of all the dancers i.e. forking our own money to ask us down to Alumni Dinner, to pass me the make up set at my house, to make mango pudding for us (Yes, I remembered that! Cos it tasted nice. It was superbly done!) Thanks to Ms Tan Bao Jun who taught me Chinese as well, your class is also fun-filled and you are just too cute. HAHHA yea, even until now.
Mr kwek! the funny humourous math teacher! I still can remember how he turns his back to write on the flash screen during lecture. like a funny only. HAHHA Mrs Sim, the strict, understanding and reasonable economics teacher! I miss your shoutings! :( Miss Low, the unique cool pretty physics teacher ever or probably the coolest teacher I ever met. Not lying. Thank you guys for letting me consult you so so so many times! And thanks for pushing us on this journey! Thank you for not giving either of us up!
Thanks to all my GP teachers, I know, its never easy teaching me, especially, GP. Thank you to Ms Kathleen, Ms R, Mr Edson Ng! Thank you to the latter for letting me know the seriousness of the whole situation and how extreme bad my GP was. I mean, I know I sucked at it, but in the actualy fact there's this possibility that I could retain thanks to GP, I could have to retake, I could have flunk badly in it. No matter if thats a scare, or really what you think, thank you. (To fight on even stronger when adversities arise) Thanks to SRJC's PE TEACHERS! thanks for letting me accomplish the mission Id never ever thought I could do it! Really. (tearing) hahha I hated running since sec3 on. I would never run longer than 2.4km cos I thought 2.4 is already very bad. Before that I used to run 5km. Guess what, I was trained to run 10km! oh frick. Then, actual fact, I ran 12km in the event; Will Run. 2 EXTRA KMs! Thats something I never thought of. Thank you for making the impossible possible. (Its the determination, and effort put in to accomplish the mission impossible thank yourself and the teachers!)
ah yes! MR ANG! THE CHEMISTRY TEACHER THAT MADE ME LOVE CHEMISTRY! HAHAHA The funny teacher. I was all so bad in it ever since Sec3. F9 all the way even until J1, Chemistry is only a just pass.
Thanks to Mr Eng and Mr Choo for coaching us Guitar! Its definitely a good musical skill to learn and master! :D
Thanks to Ikeda Sensei who taught many of us the way to live, to study! Studying the world's foremost philosophy.
Thanks all my university lecturers! Mr Nageb, Mr Adrian Tang, Ms Lee CC, Mr Syed the loss voice joke humourous singer math lecturer!TEACHERS'! YOU GUYS ROCK ON! LOVIN ALL OF YOU! THANKS FOR MOULDING US ALL AS INDIVIDUALS WITH GOOD CHARACTER AND ACCOMPLISHED ACADEMICS!
