wow wow wow

I havent updated this space for the longest of time! Life has been hectic, exhausting, but meaningful, and fulfilling for me while I was away.

So have I been busy with? WORK WORK WORK. haha kidding, Life's not ALL about work. But heck yes, work does chope a large part of my day... practically, I am working office hours meaning 830am to 6pm... The only time I am available on a weekday would be at night!

But still, I am not at home relaxing~ Most of my nights are spent with my YFP trainings and meetings, meet up with friends which only stood 10% of my life > < to justify for myself, my friends are working adults with their own commitments too... haha so... its not just me who's busy.

Sometimes, meeting my family on a weekday maybe just 30mins or none... oh i feel for my bosses and Gakkai leaders. No wonder when Sensei was inaugurated the 3rd president of Soka Gakkai, Mrs Ikeda treated him to a simple meal conveying that, she considers that to be a funeral... well... its for the happiness of others! if not for him and the many who upheld the M&D spirit, many of us wont have what we have right now this time.

my weekends are equally filled too! but with Gakkai activities~ I consider myself as working for 2 jobs.

This is the correct kind of happening life.

Everything nice that happened in a month

Seems like its just yesterday when I started to work, now Im already working for a month! Getting more used to the job scope and Im loving it! Pretty good working environment with good relations with my colleagues! Most are really nice. In the sense, they guide me along and teach me a lot of things! Boss' temperamental hahah i guess that applies to most lady boss...

Its my first office job, so I learnt a lot in the sense of how things work and how people communicates etc its interesting in both good and bad ways haha

I am working in Genting Singapore! know RWS? yup, RWS is a subsidiary of our company! And, I realised the age group is quite young! Just the corporate office itself, currently, I am aware of 3 school friends who are working in it! About the perks, I get to travel to Sentosa for lunch and when I am asked to go over.. And, to enter USS for free! But I cant play the rides la :(

Everyone's favourite minions!! I saw them when I was about to exit the USS!

They are so fat Im gonna dieee!!!! hehehehhe think Im getting fatter too! Thanks to all good food around my office heheehe the food are pricey too~

Also, last Friday, I had my convocation! Marks the end of my routined school life! The registration for the convocation starts in early April, convocation/graduation ceremony itself is optional. Not all students went for it though. For my year (2014 May), there were 6 sessions. 2 sessions each day. Mine is on the morning of the last day. Usually, span from wednesday to friday.

Gown/Mortarboard collection is in mid April at Serangoon Broadway Studio. Some ulu place, opposite of the new MOM building.

A day before my convocation, I was thinking since the ceremony starts at 10am, students got to sit at 915am so what time do the students got to reach to register and put on the gown?? (Take Note: please log on to your SIM portal aka SIMCONNECT, under the graduation tab, there will be details on registration time!) Apparently, I read it in some blog, that mentioned that registration time is from 8-9am!

For my convocation, I kept it pretty low profile because I didnt want to trouble friends to travel down all the way. But anyway, just a short rant. well, hopefully it will be a short one hhaha I feel, if your friends are true friends, even if they are not studying in SIM or do not have classes that day, they will be down to support even without having you to personally ask them to. They will naturally ask for your convocation date and time. Apparently, I have friends who go, "ohh your convocation on friday, ahh i dont have class leh cannot be down" you get my point? its not as if they need to have class, to travel to school to pass some well wishes to their friends. of course, well wishes delivered through sms/whatsapp are sincere wishes as well, but it will be better if they are physically down right? Imagine having to go for convocation without any friends wishing you when all the others graduates have. (end of rant) hahaha before i continue to rant on and on like one auntie.

Receiving 2 awards. oh by the way, I had the misconception that the VIP Reception you see during every graduation (the one at the corner near the Lifts in Block A atrium) is for all First Class Graduates. No. Its for award winning students. i.e. a few top FCH graduates for the course, or the top Second upper class graduate if there are not FCH grads in the course

wahlao, we got to queue up to take photo with this banner...

Like i captioned it in Facebook, "I believe I can fly~~~" lol super funny

with my bro~

Elaine and the lighting mortarboard hahahahah was throwing the mortarboard and this photo captured me catching the falling mortarboard

My mom and bro! Papa was working and meimei going for a uni interview!

Have been through lots of ups and downs for the past months. Tmr will be my first day, and Im not afraid cos Im a lion king! Though yet started, I sense that this will be definitely a good experience for me (regardless how others comment on the company)!

4 days before 3.16, I finally got my job.

All the best, Elaine! Jiayou! Fighting!

1 month

oh hi Im back after nearly a month... Been busy with watching Hallyu drama, searching for jobs, and planning for DM and SUJ Exchange!

Just wrote my letter to Ikeda Sensei! Both my victories for last year and past months and my resolutions from now on. Its refreshing to think back! and full of conviction and determination while planning ahead! Its March already! So fast!

Anyway, Ill be slowly (im slow enough already =.=) sending my resume to the private firms as I have not been doing so... Only sending to banks and government sector which take super long time to get back. Gotta act fast! Thankful for my friends and seniors in faith around and of cos to have sensei guidance to guide me along when Im all confused, low morale, low life condition, lost etc... Thank you~

Did I mention that I won hotel voucher in Seoul Myeong Dong in Feb/Jan???? Yah... only hotel voucher. Still contemplating if I should fly over this spring! But could only bring either 1 other or 3 other. Need to check the room occupancy. If Im going, it will most probably be after my convocation or end March? I havent book air tickets yet!!!! Just a pretty short trip in Seoul and maybe somewhere outside Seoul that I can travel to via the subway la :)

In late Feb, I received one letter from SIM! Make a guess? Its commendation letter! Received UOL Top Student Award- Bronze for my course. Not sure if that means Im the top 3? No idea how many recipient per award. And, the SIM Special Recognition Award! #justsayin to keep track of things! I only write online diary which is this... so yah... not flaunting or what. Just wanna write down for memories sake :) So how do I feel after receiving? Both happy for the money and upset cos this makes me look even cui-er that I STILL COULDNT FIND A JOB :( Just like the upset me is not sad enough, my sister asked me to sign a declaration form that Im an unemployed for University application :(((( double kill (im fine now anyway still fighting strong! other people are challenging even tougher things than me! I ought to be strong and courageous!)

And yesterday, we had our Soka University of Japan Exchange meeting! The meeting ran rather smoothly. except a few obvious sound system down, but luckily its only for a few seconds. Thankful for the team I worked with, very very very meticulous, always had contingency plans, kept tight communications via callings and meeting up to settle, for my case, culture performance. Thankful to have the 2 chiefs who are guiding us along well, such that we are able to fully run the programme yesterday ourselves. Thankful for the support given by the fellow trailblazers who helped to reach out, contact members, design and make the souvenirs, discuss and decide the dinner reps. Thankful for my culture performers who memorised the japanese song lyrics (which are said to be confusing even to choir trained singers!) within 2 practices and touched the audiences by the brightest and beautiful smiles ever!

The Bucket List: 100 things to do before you die

Ending tuition tmr! Everytime during the period when tuition kids are stopping the tuition for the year cos of their year end examination, Ill always feel great for education job! Thats like preparing the kids for a battle! Helping them wearing their armour, polishing their boots, sharpening their sword... What we can do is to teach with our hearts... for tutor especially, we only serve as a supplement to them aside their daily school curriculum. Probably thats partly why I dont really like forcing them to do homework and feeding them with piles of homework from tuition... School has to be the main source. Elastic bands should stretch to a certain extent to maximise its efficiency. Then again, as much as we teach, the results ultimately lie on the kids themselves... Even though wielded with sharp sword and strong shield, if the warrior isnt courageous nor confident nor skilled to hold the weapons, they will be of no use.

Aigoo...

1) Been semiactive in finding a job... Since its the time of the year again, it spells no income from doing tuition... Time to spam resume!

2) Im missing Korea already :( From all the bloggings I did for Korea/Seoul Travelogue!

3) Im researching for Taiwan... and even planned out the itinerary with the timing done, hotels done, places done and way to go done... now it seems difficult to coordinate between our schedule...

Bro's PPP that tentatively ends on the 28 March spells we cant go Taiwan in March already... Which is not exactly a bad thing afterall since April's temperature will surely be warmer and perhaps we can see cherry trees blossoming! (are there any?)

The damn it thing is that... Between my bro's PPP to his starting of school is a whooping 10+days! Good for us to travel definitely! BUT BUT BUT my graduation falls between it =.=

Its really ironic that how much I have been looking forward to the Graduation where I get to use the FCH dining place and getting up the stage with my name read out, now Im kinda dreading it...

If I got a normal class or second upper, I may not be that concerned whether i attend the convocation...

Day 26- What kind of person attracts you

In a good or bad way?

In a bad way:
By wearing eye-catching atttire like lime green/red i dont know. By... digging your nose, scratching your butt lol I guess those actions will irl people off right? By not wearing your clothes properly? By wearing chest-droppy top or butt-cellulite-showing shorts. Ill just get disgusted and turned off. But, I suppose if ladies were to wear those, the guys will prolly be enjoying much. right guys? And sums in all, uncivilised person in the public attracts my attention. only. yes.

In a good way:
Girls: err..... yes, girls attracts my attention. To put it specifically, pretty girls and girls who are fashionably dressed. CANT TAKE MY EYES OFF THEM. Sorry, but Im straight. as straight as a ruler?

Guys: Cute and handsome guys. and extraordinary man. LOL c'mon la, the first impression counts right? and who doesnt like cutie pies? All in all, just dont have to be toooooo cmi should be fine.

sianz1/2
Yours truly seriously detest people who always wait. Not saying people who wait on us. (If you get what I mean, People who wait on us, are waiter/sales assistants. its English.) waiting for the sky to fall down really. Cant stand them. Especially those who claim that they are waiting for others to take action when they are NOT DOING IT! Isnt that kinda absurd? I supposed, just type on either email or message us wont take up most of your time right?
And yes, when it comes to planning a meeting/outing those who take action is the one being labelled as the organiser. funny so. Hence, the follow up actions like coming up with an ideal date and time is... brain draining. Imagine you had to coordinate all the timings and the preferences and venue of all people involved! Person A wants this and is available during these days. However, person B wants the other. Look, this is just a short and simple comparison/analyse between 2 persons ONLY. In the actual fact, we sometimes had to plan an outing/meeting for a group of say... 5-20? or even more? Facebooking events are good. But, it wont work to its fullest if the people aint active in it. Hard uh? I guess, thats the reason why many detest being the one who plan/initiates/take action.

Aside that, should I sign up for Summer Programme next year? That would mean... going to London for 3weeks. nearly 1 month. Yes, no? This is definitely a good chance for me to get exposed to overseas stuffs, and get independent!

Think, Im gonna stop his tuition. 2weeks later. hmm

Go go the lazy town

Have you ever caught the show/cartoon/kids channel's Lazy Town? hahah thats quite a funny show with villain and hero and the 'villagers'. Kinda miss it though.

Bought the Swensen's 20 for 40bucks worth on groupon. I think Ive mentioned this in my previous post or the previous previous post. hahha was actually thinking when I can go down with my family until today! Today had a chat with my instructor, lol okay okay Im always chatting, regarding me turning 20! Like a soon only. last 1 month? :/ prolly spent that day working and celebrating with my lovelies. Anyone wants to jio me out on that day? hehheh and just realise, yea... only JUST, forTEEN, fifTEEN, nighTEEN, twenTY. tsk. no more teen alr? Hate the hard truth though. I guess many think this way. hahahah we gonna die anyway. So... live your live to the fullest! its cliche, but uhm thats kinda true and practical?

Went Hillgrove today and passed by a ITE at the west. ITS NICE AND BEAUTIFUL AND ULTIMATE HOW UNIVERSITY/POLY SHOULD LOOK LIKE futuristic blue print kinda building. Thats encouraging people who are already doing badly to go ITE? Cos for me, I personally thought of the probability that I might just end up in a ITE after Olevels before the results was released. ya know, Im too stressed up. So... Ive picked one ideal ITE to pursue! Somewhere in the east. I think, opposite the expo. cos its pretty? at least prettier than any JCs? (other than RJ, and perhaps HCJC and ACJC) our Garment has lost it man... Shouldnt they just feed more to those doing good, and are going to do even better.

And I really really HAVE TO PRACTISE MY GUITAR!!!! urgh

If only you know me

Cute boys. I think they look way better when they were young. Emma looks just as pretty when she was young.
How can we say that we know our own friends when sometimes, we dont even know what we are doing. Had some disturbances lately, partly due to work and friends. Miscommunication I would say. Thinking back of which, these are merely small daily lives obstacles are many will go through. Do note, I write 'small'. Therefore, after much upset-ness, I regained by genki and move on. Cos' Im sure others are in much deeper shit than I am. Moreover, challenges are those are polish our character yea? Im not being oblivious to obstacles, Im just accepting them.

For future outings, I think I would just texted the rest if Im unsure of my attendance or cannot make it. Cos' you cant 100% for sure that your friend will convey the message or convey the RIGHT message. (This is being responsible for our own words. And not let anothers take the responsibility of our actions. Nothing to do with trust.) Before Im gonna write any further about that issue, am gonna shut up and zip it up. All that I concluded was, my friend is really a true friend. She may not understand me fully, but at least she bother to care and bother to get 'angry'. Thanks from deepest of my heart. (Im not trying to be mushy here. I hate being so... romantic. EWW srsly.)

I can really feel karma acting up. All thanks to me for pangseh-ing my friends and how I treat my family- like taking all for granted. But Im happy! haha and glad that obstacles are coming my way! Cos' that would mean that Im able to transform the bad to the good. Dont understand right? Is like an object will lots of dirt trapped inside, on the surface it might seem to be clean and clear of dust but deep in, its full of dirt. And people are oblivious of it, and couldnt be bothered to clean it. Whereas, object will lots of dirt inside, due to practising of the law, manages to release the dirt out, onto the surface, people will then be able to see it clearly and do the cleaning action.

Feeling for the kid whose parents terminate their relation with the tuition agency due to their irresponsibility cos' they'd just stopped their kid from learning one good technique to overcome certain types of seemingly hard questions. if only...

And, harry potter! It all ends at July 14. Im sure many are catching the last portion of the sequel! Because I am too! Just completed my so-called HP marathon by finishing the latest, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part1. I think to watch this show, its good to do some minor research on the things that're mentioned previously to get a better and clearer idea of whats going on, perhaps in the last battle. e.g. knowing what are horcruxes, whats with the chamber of secret that Hermione kept mentioning in Part1. What are the hallows. I think those are pretty simple read and understandable.

Some recruit tried to swim out of tekong. lol Im sure that guy gotta be some swimming marathon champion. trying to challenge his limits and break the record of swimming a few miles. HAHHAHAHAH he could be long distance swimmer yea?
http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_690146.html
this is call, tok gong. Meaning, super. But in a sarcastic tone, thanks.

Busy beeeeeezy

Many many things on hand right now :) Applying and going for job interviews! I just have to have this kinda urge and rush to apply for jobs! If not, the vicious cycle will not stop and continues to aggravate. In 'want' (not a need) of money to fund my personally-think-that-it-is-not-too-luxurious lifestyle. I dont go for spa, neither do I go for manicures/pedicures (I have long nails okay!) nor do I go for shopping SPREE like weekly.

On a random note, am listening to some channel 8 duet singing competition. The 2 groups SUCK! But... the word, SUCK doesnt really do one of the group justice. Their harmonising wasnt too bad, just that some parts are really extra and the focus is just wrong. Okay, omg. That not too bad duet, one of the guys is a MALAY!

Back to attending yoga classes. Actually, yaatra yoga isnt as bad as I thought. Their classes are really small at 5 students. One evident reason is that, the rooms are small. One thing that i dont like, is their 2days in advance cancellation. I mean, within the 2 days a lot can happen right! Eg: you can fall sick one day before the lesson! Aside this, Id say that, they are good. And, Id prefer practising hot yoga :) that detox feel :)

Finally, settled with the appointment with the vocals class.

A few days ago, I was still busying with our June Project. Now that its over, time to get back to the school's exhibition and districts! :}

chant for the best :)
