Horse year- DUA HUAT!

HAPPY HORSE YEAR!

2014- Horse year was said to be a huat year for all goaties/sheepies! Have you ever seen 3 different kinds of luck i.e. Wealth, General Luck and Romance predicting the zodiac having great romance in the year? I have! And thats my zodiac, for this year! Much lol? Told my family that I may have so much romance that I nose bleed lol anyway jokes aside. Im gonna fully utilise the great luck I have this year!

Spent my January doing things like volunteering work and shopping for Chinese New Year goodies! yumyum~ I might be joining volunteer group! Cos doing volunteering is really good! It allows us to meet people who are richer than us. We learn from one and another. Ive seen some of them who seem to not have anything, yet they owned something thats much worthier than any of us have gotten! I want to expand my life. I want to train myself to be a compassionate person amid this working society. I hope I have the time and I hope I will make time for that.

Trip to Chinatown with my family!

Bakkwa at Bee Cheng Hiang! Too hard :/ So I prefer Lim Chee Guan's signature sliced pork which is softer but sometimes saltier :/

I think I grew so fat u know? tsk.

Preparation for Taiwan- I

Possibly in April next year or during Poly holidays! Its really difficult to coordinate between the family members for overseas trip really... we shouldnt went earlier when we were younger... so the timing will be easier to manage. now that we have all grown up, Im gonna work, Sis gonna graduate from poly and has no idea to continue pursue studies or to work and didi gonna start poly!

Anyway, its either we go during Spring or Summer la...

When going overseas, I would always check out the climate during the period Im going... the temperature and possible disasters if any...

For taiwan, I think there are earthquakes and typhoons. Typhoon usually comes during Summer between July to October... With the most occurrence in September if Ive not remembered wrongly! And, the quakes happen mostly in lower parts of Taiwan i.e. Tainan, Nantou where Cingjing Farm is at..., Hualien as well... There were a few in Taipei as wikipedia-ed

Spring time, the temperature should range from 16-22degrees celcius... Very air-conditioned like! I guess it will be quite dry... Not sure if its humid though...

Journey wise, we will be probably going Kaoshiung then Nantou then to Taipei... Initially wanted to go Hualien to view the Qixing Tan aka Yue Ya Wan after Nantou before Taipei and Taroko Gorge... But scrape that!

Long Shan Temple
Wu Lai
Sun Moon Lake (Nantou)
Xiao Rui Shi Garden (Nantou)
Xiao Yeh liu (I think abit stupid to go if we are going to the yehliu geopark right...)
Yang Ming Shan

Transportation such as the flight details, how to go from Taoyuan International Airport (TIA) to the various places you wanna go... if you are going to Taipei, can purchase ticket that costs 125NT for the Kuo Kuang Bus! Its like Genting kinda coach... And its cheaper than cabbing down which may cost more than 50sgd...

For Flights, if you are going Budget... think Scoot, Jetstar read it online that those 2 are not bad! just that for Jetstar leg room space is narrower than Scoot... Pricing wise Jetstar super cheap! and you get to separate the baggage allowance for individual when booking together...

E.G.

For SIN-TPE, 5 people, you can choose 2 people to carry 15kg luggage and 3 others No Baggages.
For TPE-SIN, 5 people, you can choose 2 people to carry 20kg, 1 person to carry 15kg luggage and another one No Baggage.

For Scoot however... you cant separate the baggages thingy and its fixed at 15kg...

E.G.

For SIN-TPE, 5 people, either everyone goes on FLY or FLYBAG.

that means, its either no checked in bags or all 5 of them has checked in bags...

For people going slightly non-budget... perhaps Eva Air? Its around 600sgd when I checked for my travelling period in March... and they do have a Hello Kitty Themed Airplane! Dont think its available in Singapore though... Only available in 3 places when I last checked...
