At your bidding

"I wanna get a car!", yells E.

Hello wellos! :) Back from a short hiatus. Increasing work load, getting more tuition and guitar assignments. Anyway, have been practising on a few non-classical pieces via tabs. Like The moon represents my heart (yue liang dai biao wo de xin), River flows in you. Refer to www.ultimate-guitar.com for more chords or tablature for songs you'll like to play!

And uhm, you know buy one get one free? Ill just like you to check this out:

He is really good, and you are missing things out if you have yet to know him (not personally of cos)
He plays the guitar and piano! And, he's only... I wont tell you how old is he. Go check out his youtube profile! He's really young.

NDP is nearing, kinda excited about that? hahha This year's theme is Majulah! The singapore spirit. For singaporeans, perhaps it does take us a few seconds/minutes/hours/days (right, im starting to crap) to think about what is the singapore spirit. Being kiasu is one, speaking the Sing langauge is another. Being controversial? yes? Political or Singapore issues never fail to make most of us 'hype' up. Election sees through people supporting their parties like its world cup finals/semi finals. The recent 'trend' in dumping bodies in the reservoirs or parks and let em' rot. And the yet-to-implement hike in bus fares. Damn it?

Read the forum a few days back, spotted one reader whose view totally same as mine. We know that SBS or SMRT service aint good, everyone knows that. So, Im not going to make a big fuss outta that. Its like rubbing salt onto their wound. But Im gonna create another 'wound'. Look, how many of us do check out the electronic meter that deducts our bus fare? No? How sure are you that the meter is not faulty i.e. deduct correct fare.

1st step. If you spotted that the meter is faulty, and wants a refund, do note that you will have to take note of the bus/mrt trips on that day, timings, bus stop, if best, the bus number.

2nd step. And then, go for a refund, you will have to register, it takes 10mins or so. Making you all embarrassed when there is a LONG queue and only one counter is available. It makes you feel like a sinner for making people wait for so long, just for that maximum 70cents refund? And that, the job doesnt end there.

3rd step. After registering, you will have to wait for a few days, then can you get back our money. Note, 70cents only.

How many of us are willing to spend that time and that trip down to get back just 70cents only, when if you went down delibrately by bus costs you $1.40 at least. So, no to both questions right! Do count the number of passengers taking the bus with faulty meters, wow! How much have the SBS/SMRT operators earn in EXTRA?
I quote the reader, "if the operators are fining people who dont pay the correct fares, then what about the bus drivers/operators (since the electronic meter is theirs) who deduct our fares wrongly? Shall the commuters charge/fine them as well?"

According to inSing.com, one of the articles, it said something like if the operators dont increase the fare, be prepared to see the drop in the bus service standards. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! Its not as if the bus service are good now. ITS LOUSY LIKE SHIZZ. I wanna justify that its not that SBS is lousy ever since they started, its was good. WAS. Not until recently, this year or last year, that I feel that the bus timing are irregular, this irregular timings even apply to feeder bus/ looping bus cos its not as if the feeder buses have to go around the whole of singapore thus, not so subjected to the traffics!

I just thought, maybe its good if they can have some CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions box/website for commuters to post their thoughts. SBS will be able to review it. If not, singaporeans or the affected ones i.e. the adult fares, will be doing non-stop complaints on faulty bus, bad service, wrong deducted fares, faulty MRT. Some people even think that monopolising the bus industry is good for us, cos no competition, so no fare hike. Bull shit? Its the competition that keeps the prices low, hello? For SBS, its hard to either monopolised or not. Because, SBS IS ALREADY SO WIDELY KNOWN IN SG! Unless, other bus companies provide us with better service, lower price than SBS at this juncture. The reason for them increasing price was...? COE?

Whatever it is, I still think that government has to review that fare deducted for tertiary students/needy people. Food prices are increasing, Chicken Rice no longer costs 2bucks but 3bucks-5bucks. Fuel/oil prices are increasing, Coe is increasing. Everything is increasing except the pay/income and old model electronics. Everything just has to be managed well, otherwise we see singapore standing at the worldwide's peak, but the citizens cant even keep up the pace of her developing.

ps: if you realise, i do ask ignorant questions as some of you may deem it to be. Then, I kindly ask for your understanding and generiosity to share the knowledge/actual facts with me. that is if you know me personally.
