If going overseas, it will be useful to know a few of those important phrases like Help! Excuse me! Thanks! Hello! Where is the toilet? and names of the Airport, Hotel, Shopping Mall... And for shopping, knowing language like, Expensive! Can it be cheaper?

And... i guess it will be better for bargaining lol, cos not many people do put in effort in speaking their language. So if you do, maybe they will feel like you are one of them/love Thailand (they are pretty patriotic if my memory did not fail me or if the times have not yet changed)

Get a map of the area you are going, the Train stations.

Get the written language for this case in Thai, for the places you wanna go. In case you pronounce it wrongly and the cabbies have no idea what you are talking bout lol

Searched on the possible data avenues. The hotel we are going to has wifi. But i might prolly get a 3g data prepaid card at the airport itself. They have 3 providers, namely, dtac, true move and i forgot what... Do check online/google it for more details!
