Legoland Day 1

We took 10am coach from Singapore Flyer (the only pick up point.) and we had to reach at 945am. In view of the morning rush, my family met up my aunt's family at 815am at Bishan station. And we woke up at 6am...

Reached the WTS counter at Singapore Flyer (nearest station: Promenade Station) we searched and asked around for someone to help us. Apparently, the seats are based on first come first serve on top of the reserved time. And you have to queue outside the office. Upon your turn, the person will hand you an envelope which contains all your things. For our case, its service voucher (2 day combo voucher for theme park and water park to be redeemed at Legoland hotel reception) and hotel voucher (to be redeemed at Hotel reception too). The white envelope itself is the voucher for the return trip coach.

Journey took about an hour to 2hour. Got delayed by the humans taking the bus =.= either they are idiots who did not bother to inform the bus drivers that they are not taking the bus or idiots who took the wrong bus. And so, the entire passengers had to wait for that bloody idiot couple.

Anyway, reached! This is the carpark outside the Legoland theme park! This is the bus stop for the WTS pickup point.

Legoland Summary

Prior to the trip itself, my sister and I went online to check a lot with regards to Legoland!

Initially, my sister and my cutest closest cousins wanted to book the WTS groupon that goes to both Themepark and water park within a day! indeed cheap but... we guess that it will be too rush for the all of us! So we decided for 2 days trip, which means we had to book the hotel! We didnt know legoland hotel existed, so we went to check traders hotel and other hotels nearby! But... those require taxi/bus to fetch us over and it's really troublesome! Then, we found out there is legoland hotel and its damn near both attractions!

Next, was to book individually or book via WTS. During the month of November, before the school holidays, WTS did not have any promotions like 2D1N legoland hotel and 2 day combo to theme park and water park... so we had to book separately from the Legoland Hotel website!

Cut the story short, after a few weeks, in the beginning of December, a few hours before we book the hotel and tickets online... I found out that WTS does provide the package we were hoping for! Thankfully, we chose to book it later, so we managed to wait for the December School holidays package which WTS newly offered!

So... our coach ride, 2 days combo to theme park and water park and the 1 night hotel and complimentart Hotel breakfast was with WTS!

Wedding Ceremony

Friday the 13th- The day my cousin got married.

We left house at 6pm to the Marriott Hotel Sg (Nearest Station: Orchard Station) along the Orchard Road, behind the Tangs building. Had to reach by 630pm for the Tea ceremony.

If you want to park your car in their hotel's carpark, you will have to drive along the Scotts Road, and make your way into a lane outside the main entrance of Marriott Hotel. Follow the lane, you should find yourself driving into a back alley that leads you to the multi-storey carpark!

For attending wedding ceremony, do check with your relative (the household whose child is getting married) if the hotel provides complimentary carpark coupon. Marriott hotel does provide.

After the Tea ceremony, we headed towards the Grand Ballroom! And the hotel is filled with christmas trees furnished with bright decoratives and bling bling lights! Oh! and nice christmas songs played in Saxophone! Total xmas mood up!

The ballroom which the wedding dinner will be hosted was slated to open at 730pm... but we waited and waited till around 8pm for the entry... A few waitresses wearing mini skirts. srsly?

The ambience was really good. Wedding video clip was short. Nice music. Nice dinner (except the last few items which were pretty indecent e.g. sour mangoes...) it would be perfect if not for the dessert. The waiters and waitresses are polite too! (apart from that miniskirt)

The dinner started at around 845pm... after the couple made their grand entrance. We were famished!! And the whole thing ended around 11pm plus!

----------
anyway, I would really love to have a grand/perfect wedding if I am a big shot lol but I guess, a small scale wedding banquet should suffice! Wedding should be celebrated with your closes ones. No point inviting people for the sake of inviting/fill up gaps or seats. Some people are just weird... for instance, you are the one getting married, and you had to invite your mom's cousin... the point is, you dont even know your mom's cousin. invite for what? even inviting friends whom you know, but arent close with, is weirdddd. Like I said, should just invite people who share the same joy as you :)

NTUC Carnival 2013

Attended the last NTUC carnival of the year on 1st December!

Activities include Carnival green strip attached to your wrist, Wild Wild Wet entrance ticket, Orchid Bowl ticket for 1 game each, Explorer Kids for children under 12 years old, and $3 F&B per person.

Goodie bag was given to each household, it contains 4 bottles of plain water, 2 detergent packets, 1 can drink, and a plastic fan.

So obviously, my family only went for the highlight Wild Wild wet and orchid bowl!
--------

Before the event, we received a letter from NTUC to register for this event! There are around 4 days to select. i.e. choose one day which your family can attend. Shuttle Buses were provided from selected MRT Stations!

Nearer to 1st December, we received a confirmation letter!

A day before 1st December, PACKING OF BAGS!!! lol Do your research on Wild Wild Wet such as the recommended swim wear, price of lockers, price of food etc

WILD WILD WET NOTE:
- Wild wild wet allows swim suit i.e. normal swimming wear (Im not sure of wet suit though)
- you can wear tshirt and pants (No zips, button, metal, or Velcro)
- bikini should be allowed cos I saw a lot of ladies wearing them!
- You can make multiple entries per day. i.e. you can exit the WWW and enter again, just make sure you tell the guard to stamp a chop on your hand
- Locker costs 2bucks. Its one time usage i.e. once locked, and you kinda forgot to take things out and opened the locker, your 2bucks gone. To lock it once more, you have to insert another 2 dollars! So be sure to keep/take things out! And remember your locker number! And keep your key safe (there's a black band so you can tie on your hair or around your arm)!
---------

ACTUAL DAY!!

My dad drove us there! We register at the registration counter which was filled with people, but the queue was pretty fast! We collected our goodie bag and tickets there!

After which, we had lunch at the Malay food court nearby, fully utilising the F&B coupon! Trying to kill time as its just 30mins before 1230pm when the Grand Draw takes place! Played at the carnival lol and headed over to the hall for the grand draw! chey as usual we were not selected. but, its exciting enough hahah

After the draw itself, it was raining super heavy!!! So all of us went to orchid bowl! And i believe the crowd had the same mentality as us, thus the heavy human flow towards Orchid Bowl at E!Hub...

ORCHID BOWL NOTE:
- socks at 1.50 each (bring your own socks over!!)
- rental of bowling shoes at 1.50 each (share shoes!! though the counter lady didnt really like it)
- 1 game means 10 rounds each person. 1 round: you have 2 tries. In total, you should bowl minimun of 20 times and a maximum of 21 times (last round you get to roll 3 times if you "SPARE")
- The machine and your bowling lane is apparently opposite... i.e. your lane's machine is facing your neighbour's lane. You dont have to care about the machine. Just stick to your own lane.

We completed the whole bowling thing around 230pm... Wild Wild Wet next!

Quite few rides though... They have the Slide Up (slide down and up) next to a chalet, Ular-lah (family slide on a huge float), The Water Works (single ride), Torpedo (vertical fall and gradually a slide), Shiok River around the wet area (grab your float here! For free), Tsunami (which has super rough floor and I gained at least 3 bruises/injuries from that damn place =.=) and a few lame ones...

Changed into swimming outfit and locked up our stuff and there we go!

SHIOK RIVER

Went into the River to warm up/chill down, the river was pretty cold and packed with people! Got our float from a kid who didnt want his float (well... I overheard him saying that to his friend la)

Anyway, the River has a one direction current... so everyone will be walking/swimming/running/float in a anti-clockwise direction. Its quite hard for a person who go in a opposite direction...

TSUNAMI

Tsunami next! Waited a while for the wave to come and the degree of the wave increases! Not exactly a few floors high la, but the strongest wave is capable of making a person standing fall down to the ground and couldnt get up to his feet. By this time, sit firmly (I said FIRMLY) on your float to ride along the wave! One time, I tried sitting on the float when wave comes about and I... got pushed into the waters... yup into the waters with rough floor... and got injured on my back and elbow =.=

oh! the Tsunami is somewhat like a big pool! From shallow water, the further you go, it gets deeper around 2+metres?

ULAR-LAH

Ular-lah with family is up on the list! Climbed up the stairs to the 3rd floor! Long queue but remember, its family ride of up to 6 pax! So... the queue is super fast! Anyway, up on the float and slide down! Enjoy the ride and scream! No water will splashed onto your face here. At the end point, water's shallow... I think the water depth is about cuff/thigh area? The float does not have safety belt, just make sure you grab onto the handle at all times during the slide!

SLIDE UP

Lastly, my bro and I went ahead with the Slide Up while my sister and parents went to wash up and swim in the River... Slide Up was freaking EXHILARTING OMG THE FALL WAS OMGGGGGGGGGGG. I screamed at my highest pitch and screamed the loudest from the fall that my parents and sis from afar heard me (they were watching) lolololol but damn shiok hahha

Washed up! And had our dinner at the food court beside WWW!

Christmas tree and Doraemon!

Random post (II)

Life been mundane for me. But Im spending it meaningfully! Im still looking for a job which I like and is suitable for me. While spending time looking for one, I have been spending my other time reading up on studies and newspapers which I dont usually do when I was schooling! And, I have chanted for at least an hour to two daily and Im already into my second week doing so! These are a kind of discipline which I was lazy to abide. Hopefully, after finding my correct career path, I will still be doing so! These few weeks, having a change in life routine, and being more discipline, I can totally feel myself getting wiser daily! And I am in fact doing my own human revolution which was in a slow pace last time...

Composed a few verses of a song  last Sunday and will be editing it soon with other friends! I really like the melody hahha but my sister said it sounds a little childish :/ my mom and friends said it was nice! hhaha *pats my back*

Been busy with checking details for the Legoland hotel, Legoland theme park, Legoland waterpark, WTS Coach to Legoland and passport issues recently! Going overseas is a chore with big group of people. This experience and my other overseas experience propels me forward to go on for a solo trip to... Korea? (again!) Europe?

Random Post

Last Thursday, family went swimming with the cool closest cousins! I love it at AMK Swimming Complex, cos' its ulu enough to have little people around. And, finally, I swam a few laps! Draining my energy away from me. I like swimming than jogging cos you wont feel the sweat at all! and it work out the whole of your body and its just so relaxing to float in the waters! Throw away any worries just for that while :)

After swimming, we ate dinner! Simple, cheap, neighbourhood pork chop!

Pork chop or fish and chip was considered as a luxury to me when I was young cos we rarely eat these... We seldom eat these today though...

Last Friday, I was on the online free samples spree! You should google it online for free samples! So... I found out that Guardian Plus (the new outlet at Ngee Ann City/Takashimaya) was giving away goodie bag to your friends! The bags are out of stock online already...

We collected it yesterday! Felt pretty alien in town lol I guess it cos I have never been to town in hmm a year? Then again, yesterday I didnt really shop... Anyway right, I havent been shopping in Singapore's orchard/somerset for like 2 years?? Congrats to me please lol

Nuff' of side tracking, we collected the goodies and we are happy!

After that, we went to Scape for a simple lunch at NeNe Chicken! its quite expensive... And Scape is really noisy with the band performing... Just that particular band... Cant seem to appreciate their kind of music.

We bought 2 set meals, both are tenders (boneless meat) so we get 2 different flavours! I got Swicy and Onion! Swicy is good! Not spicy at all! Onion isnt that nice... hahah the cashier said, Bulgogi flavour is good too! With the set meals, are the meat, radish and regular drink! One set costs 9.90! There are about 6 pieces of meat each set!

In the menu (available at the cashier), there are...

  • 3 group sets namely, wings and drumstick, tenders and i forgot which. Those costs around $21 to $24 for 3-4pax about 20pieces of meat.
  • I think 2 individual set meals that costs around $10!
  • ala carte (6 pieces chicken for around $8)

The cashier is quite cute lol

And today! I went to Morning Gongyo with mom again! Took photo with the daimoku cards' tree! Cos its really historical and monumental and significant! Not sure if they are going to take it down, so we just took a photo for keep sake! Dont mind my cui face :/
