but i used to. used to wish for the particular someone to be missing me when Im missing him.

Day 27- A picture of your handwriting

truthfully, when I saw this task and I gave out a kyyyyaaa sound. like those Koreans on variety shows.

Mine's a doctor handwriting. Dont you admire it? HAHA

Day 26- what are some little things that make you feel warm and fuzzy

erm... a glass of hot milo? half boiled egg? morning gongyo? Little Prince?

Rainy days with a hot milo and Little Prince?

Day 25- Would you date someone plain with an amazing personality or someone beautiful with plain personality?

I will date someone plain with amazing personality.

Nope. This is not a politically right answer. My sister is one example. And i do admire my sister great personality, sociable and responsible. That makes anyone awesome or evil wants to be her friends! and truly feels comfortable with her. And my sister is a plain jane :)

Dear Strangers who were my friends,

Hi.

Updates

So for the benefit of those joining the next summer abroad in SIM or NTU or wherever you are, in SKKU.
I will post some updates.

1) submit online application to SKKU. register on those portal. you can firstly go to their main page for ISS 2014 for that matter. then go to <REGISTRATION> then, <ONLINE APPLICATION>

HERE: http://summer.skku.edu/

Apply as soon as possible to secure your dorm allocation.

2) Update your particulars and passport photo (scanned) and passport (scanned)
Opt for free Korean language class. A Korean Language Module is also offered but only at Suwon Campus.
Opt if you want to have SKKU ISS Health insurance (not travel insurance)
Opt if you want to have Transport from airport to school/dorm.
Choose the modules that you want to take. Normally its 700USD. But i think NTU students just need to pay 420USD. not sure if it applies only for engine students.

3) Wait for them to confirm your application (even without having to update the travel details and insurance page). They will send an email that says your application is confirmed, can proceed to do payment, which may land up in your Junk mail, do check. OR they may miss out, and hence you will not receive the email.

Regardless of the email, for updates, do personally login your SKKU ONLINE PORTAL AT iss.skku.edu to check if the status has changed from  "APPLICATION" to "CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT"

4) Proceed on to do your payment. In Singapore, doing the Bankwire transfer via POSB or DBS, it is cheaper to do it online (on their page) than at the counter. it costs 25bucks lesser.
For those new to iBanking, do note that for the above mentioned banks, you will need at least 3 working days including saturday for them to assess the application for iBanking and then mail you the iBanking device. Yes. it is a Device.

5) Just to note: Dorm allocation are based on first come first serve basis. so, as mentioned in POINTER 1, register as soon as possible. Even if you have not paid up, its okay. Dorm is based on application submitted.

My friend who registered later, was assigned to the Suwon dorm. SKKU provided a complementary bus ride, not sure if you need to pay onboard. but since its complementary, i suppose not. whichever it is, Suwon dorm will be pretty inaccessible to Seoul i guess...

6) DO YOUR PAYMENT. and you are done! just wait for SKKU and your home school to update you! For SIM, there will be predeparture briefing, which i think is pretty important. for sadly, it crashed with my global revision :(

From what I see, 2013, the school officially starts from July 1 to 19. We will move into the dorm and out of it from June 26 to July 24. So before it starts and after lesson ends, it will be orientation and activities. when school starts, morning class runs from 930-12 and then lunch break for i think an hour. then noon class 130 to 4. Korean language on Tuesday and Thursday, 4-6pm. Activities usually on Wednesdays.

Friday 8 March 2013

SKKU updates

I have applied for the SIM Summer Abroad 2013 to Korea, studying in SKKU ISS :)

Will be posting updates on that on the application processes and updates on the exchange itself.

The application starts on every Jan of the year, and should end by Feb.

And they should take a few weeks to email you to confirm your application after you've submitted the form itself to the student helpdesk.

DO REGISTER ONLINE ASAP ONCE THE APPLICATION OVERSEAS COMMENCED. this is to avoid being last minute and the shortages of the dorms :)

Motivations

1. TO DO MY FAMILY PROUD

2. I didnt want to waste my money in these 3 years scoring only a mere second lower. yes, i wouldnt settle for the less.

3. I failed to enter the local university. I did badly in A levels.

I DIDNT WANT TO DO LOUSY THIS TIME ROUND.

4. I want to get into a decent job. Only a good honours guarantee me that. Though yes, honours or education aint everything. But wait, for people like me without working background like in Accounting, Data Entry field (yes, even data entry need to have "background") a good honours is a must. And with a good honours, more doors are opened up for me. HEHHEHHEH

5. I want to earn lots and lots of money to help alleviate the pressures on my dad. and also, to pamper pamper them :) by buying stuffs like...

ANDY LAU!!!!!!!!!

8. Degree classification
8.1
Further units normally carry more weight than Foundation units. Marks for Further units are counted individually and in some cases as an average, depending on the number of Foundation units taken and the number of exemptions granted. Foundation units count for up to two marks only.
8.2
A student who is eligible for the award of a degree through the Standard Route having attempted 12 full units and passed in at least 10 full units or the equivalent will be classified according to the classification scheme (given in 8.4 below) on the basis of nine marks, and, where appropriate, the aggregate of those nine marks.
8.3
The nine marks on which the classification is based are drawn from the following.
i. The marks for all Further units considered individually.
ii. If eight Further units and four Foundation units have been attempted, the ninth mark is the average of the best three Foundation units (see also v).
iii. If seven Further units and five Foundation units have been attempted, the eighth mark is the average of the best two Foundation units, and the ninth mark is the average of the next best two Foundation units (see also vi.).
iv. If six Further units and six Foundation units have been attempted, the seventh mark is the average of the best three Foundation units, the eighth mark is the average of the next best two Foundation units, and the ninth mark is the average of all six Further units (see also vii.).
v. Where a student is exempt from one or more Foundation units and has taken Foundation units to bring their total of exemptions and Foundation units to four then:
(a) given one exemption, the ninth mark is calculated in the usual way (see ii.)
(b) given two exemptions, the ninth mark is the average of the two Foundation units taken
(c) given three exemptions, the ninth mark is the Foundation unit taken
(d) given four exemptions, the ninth mark is the average of all the Further units taken.
vi. Where a student is exempt from one or more Foundation units and has taken Foundation units to bring their total of exemptions and Foundation units to five then:
(a) given one exemption, the eighth mark is the average of the best two Foundation units and the ninth mark is the average of the remaining two Foundation units
(b) given two exemptions, the eighth mark is the average of the best two Foundation units taken, and the ninth mark is the remaining Foundation unit taken
(c) given three exemptions, both the eighth and ninth marks are the marks of the two Foundation units taken
(d) given four exemptions, the eighth mark is the mark of the single Foundation unit taken and the ninth mark is the average of all the Further units taken.
vii. Where a student is exempt from one or more Foundation units and has taken Foundation units to bring their total of exemptions and Foundation units to six then:
(a) given one exemption, the seventh mark is the average of the best three Foundation units taken, the eighth mark the average of the next best two Foundation units taken, and the ninth mark is the average of all the Further units taken
(b) given two exemptions, the seventh mark is the average of the best two Foundation units taken, the eighth mark the average of the next best two Foundation units taken and the ninth the average of all the Further units taken
(c) given three exemptions, the seventh mark is the average of the best two Foundation units taken, the eighth mark the remaining Foundation unit taken and the ninth the average of all Further units taken
(d) given four exemptions, both the seventh and eighth marks are the marks of the two Foundation units taken, and the ninth mark is the average of all the Further units taken.

Additionally, when you received your results, there is an option where you can request of recounting of marks. Note. RECOUNTING. NOT RE-MARK. You have to pay 50pounds for the appeal. Appeal only if you are just borderline fail or borderline to the next grade e.g. 33, 1 more mark to passing. Otherwise it is pretty "no use". Or unless you have spare cash and you are simply, risk lover.

Any questions? Just leave a comment la. haha
