DAY 1: ARRIVE HONG KONG AND JALAN AROUND MONG KOK
This is my first trip to Hong Kong and I brought my parents along! There was a deal for SIA flights, I think I got it at around $230 per pax! Real cheap!
Haohao helped us to search for the most ideal hotel base on the criteria 😍

We booked Royal Plaza Hotel located at Mong Kok! Go read about it. Highly raved for :)
On the airport train which brings us from Airport to Kowloon. We purchase klook airport express voucher to save up! We then transferred to a shuttle bus from Kowloon which brings us directly to our hotel. In the journey, the bus does stop by a few other hotels as well.
When load up your luggage on the bus, please make sure you place it securely cos there are a few passengers' luggage went flying out and slipped in the bus due to the harsh driving skill

DAY 2: NGONG PING 360 AND DISNEYLAND LIKE A KID
Walked a little distance to this Capital cafe for the Hong Kong style breakfast! My dad likes it a lot!
We made our way to Ngong Ping 360 (nearest stations: Tung Chung station). We got to walk a little from the station to the cable car station.

It was raining heavily when we went that we can only see the silhouette of the Big Buddha. And its quite scary to ride the cable car in such weather. But if the weather condition is really harsh, cable car line will not operate at all. so not to worry :)
Upon reaching the Lantau island, we found ourselves in the sheltered retail store where due to the rain, many people gathered. Like others, we were hesitant to step out cos there is no shelter along the way to the Big Buddha statue... Waited for awhile to assess if the rain is gonna stop anytime but nope. In fact this rain, rained the entire freaking day -.- 🌂⛈
Armed with umbrellas aren't enough, so we bought raincoats to fight the rain. There we head off.
It was a long flight of stairs to the statue. My dad really doesn't care anymore lol
Didn't plan to go Disney actually but dad said to go together since it's nearby lol! Believe this is the first time the folks entered a Disneyland :)
I think the admission ticket is kinda expensive... compared to Singapore's USS... and for the size compared to Japan, I preferred Japan for the space, vibe and atmosphere. But HK Disneyland does have a lot more merchandise compared to Japan.

DAY 3: HKSGI and THE PEAK
Visited the kaikan (super near Royal Plaza Hotel) and chanted at their chanting room :)
Headed back to hotel to put down some books I bought from the Souvenir shop. had lunch at Mong Kok before heading to The Peak at Hong Kong Island.

Spot the tram! Because there are usually a lot of people, so we prepared to stand near the doors of the tram. Its either you sit comfortably or stand up. Note that this tram goes up a steep hill so you got to stand firmly.
Having knowing this through reading others' blog post prior, I rushed for the seat together with parents. But there is a lady carrying a child who's standing, I felt that I should give up this seat for her as she needed more than I do so yea... experienced standing on the tram that goes steeply up the hill.

While on our way from the tram arrival station, to the MTR station we spotted this Ding Ding Bus!! this can only be found in HK island! how fascinated we are hahaha

DAY 4: MACAU DAY TRIP
Tried the HK style breakfast at a different cafe. This is nearer to our hotel. But took us sometime to search for this cafe using the foodie app
Purchased the Macau bound ticket. There are 2 terminals to choose from so please do check it out before deciding.
Upon exiting the arrival hall, there are bunch of taxi drivers who flock to introduce their tour package to guests. And yep, we gave in lol. Not a bad thing though considering that:
1) Hard to get around in Macau cos not many bus stops or buses
2) No internet 😱 my data plan I got through klook only allows usage in HK not Macau
3) Can only clear a few places
4) Got to walk more 💦
First stop: Fisherman's Wharf
which is undergoing some construction 😕
Second stop: Senado Square/Ruins of St Paul's
Third Stop: The Venetian
Fourth Stop: A-ma Temple
Here, our tour guide explained to us the history of Macau and how Macau got it's name. It was due to Ma Zu's temple in Chinese is termed as Ma-Ge, so in cantonese it sounded like Macau. Back then the Portuguese stayed, they took it as "Macau".

DAY 5: LAST DAY IN HK
Recalled that we havent had any HK Dim Sum! How can!!! when in hk, eat dim sum!
Tried this Bai Wei Shi Pin which I saw on youtube hahah its really not bad! though it's not heated. hmm somewhat like salad.
Had difficulty in searching this outlet cos apparently google maps doesn't show it well... so I had to ask a security guard at the building beside.
We flew back to Singapore the next morning! Till then :)
